Hi, I'm going to be a freshman this year and I am wondering if i need a new
laptop. Currently I have a sony vaio (model: pcg-fx140) with the following
specifications:

10gb hard drive
750 mghz p3 processor
128 mb ram
dvd drive (no burner)
built in ethernet

Anyways, as a freshman can i get by with this computer? It runs windows ME.
Should I upgrade to windows xp? Also, will this laptop be able to run 'Linux-
Athena' ?
Thank You For Your Time,
Masood
