This paper details the design and implementation of a graphical
interface for the LUCY program.  This interface consists of the
browser, editor, help system, and the error handling system.  The
browser lets users read about topics of interest to them.  The editor
allows users to ask potentially sensitive questions.  The help system
provides online documentation on the LUCY program and the error
handling system provides diagnostic information that maintains the
element of user control.  Suggestions for improvements and extensions
to the interface are also discussed.
