COMMUNITY SOURCE LICENSING:  Sun is making the PersonalJava(tm) environment
source code which implements the PersonalJava application environment
available to the developer community.  PersonalJava is specifically
designed for building network-connectable consumer devices for home,
office, and mobile use.  It includes a Java(tm) virtual machine and a set
of Java class libraries specifically targeted for devices such as set-top
boxes, web phones and PDA's.  In addition, the memory footprint of the
PersonalJava application environment has been optimized to run in

NETDYNAMICS(tm) APPLICATION SERVER PLATFORM NOW AVAILABLE.  Offers a
complete solution for the development, deployment, and integration of
enterprise portals.  The NetDynamics 5 product line is based on the latest
release of the Java(r) 2 Platform and Enterprise JavaBeans(tm) 1.0
technology combined with a proven, robust CORBA application server
infrastructure.  The NetDynamics 5 product line offers customers an
application server solution that can integrate business processes and

Java 3D(tm) 1.1.1 API RELEASED.  Provides a set of classes for writing
three-dimensional graphics applications and 3D applets.  It gives
developers high-level constructs for creating and manipulating 3D geometry
and for constructing the structures used in rendering that geometry.
This release includes the 1.1.1 implementation, documentation, and the

JAVA WORKSHOP(tm) 3.0 COMMUNITY EDITION NOW AVAILABLE.  A visual
development environment that provides the tools you need in one convenient
and easy-to-use package.  Java WorkShop enables you to get the most out of

Java-based applets, servlets, and applications faster.  Java WorkShop 3.0
Community Edition binary code is now available for free download for use by

JAVA(TM) TRANSACTION API 1.0 SPECIFICATION RELEASED.  The specification,
developed by Sun(tm) Microsystems in cooperation with leading industry
partners in the transaction processing and database system arena,
specifies standard Java(tm) interfaces between a transaction manager and
the parties involved in a distributed transaction system: the resource
manager, the application server, and the transactional applications.

JAVA(tm) CRYPTOGRAPHY EXTENSION (JCE) 1.2 SOFTWARE NOW AVAILABLE.  Provides
a framework and implementations for encryption, key generation and key
agreement, and Message Authentication Code (MAC) algorithms.  Support for
encryption includes symmetric, asymmetric, block, and stream ciphers.  The
software also supports secure streams and sealed objects.  The product is
