EARLY ACCESS DEVELOPER RELEASE SOFTWARE.  The following Java platform
software is now available for download on the JDC:

<> JFC Project Swing 1.1.1 Beta 2 Software

JDK 1.1.8 RELEASED. This release fixes a newly discovered security 
bug that under certain circumstances allowed an untrusted applet 
to execute unverified code. This is an implementation bug, and not 
a flaw in the Java security model or architecture. To access, see:

JAVA SERVLET DEVELOPMENT KIT Y2K PATCH RELEASED. This patch makes 
the Java(tm) Servlet Development Kit 2.0 fully Y2K compliant. The

JAVA AUTHENTICATION AND AUTHORIZATION SERVICES API DOCUMENT
AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW. This document describes the Java
Authentication and Authorization Services (JAAS) API. The API
extends the security architecture of the JDK by providing additional
support for authentication. The API also supports enforcement of

event will be held in Paris, France, from April 27-29, 1999.  You can
