There have been a few controversies (flamewars) about the "officialness" of various FAQs. I've started asking FAQ maintainers to EITHER add X-Disclaimer: Approval for *.answers is based on form, not content. in the standard header (e.g. after Subject), OR Disclaimer: Approval for *.answers is based on form, not content. in the auxiliary header (e.g. after Archive-Name). This is entirely voluntary, and is not required for approval - in fact some posters to faq-maintainers@faqs.org refused outright. It seems to help reduce the flames we get, though.
