athinst is a program to assist in network installation of Sun workstations at MIT. It may not be useful in any other environments. It's targetted at singly-homed machines right now. Outline: 1. Startup and figure out what interface to listen on. 2. Find the INSTALLER address for that interface and make sure it's not in use. 3. Start listening for RARPs, and answer them with the INSTALLER address. 4. Start listening for TFTPs and answer them with the magic cnboot-type forth. lossage: if there's no floppy in the drive when rcS runs from the install server the machine hangs for 5 minutes. SUCK.
