net.Genesis' primary focus lies in developing successful commercial environments utilizing the World Wide Web (WWW) and NCSA Mosaic, the Internet's most prominent navigational environment. We specialize in developing advanced modular systems for companies seriously interested in conducting business on the Internet. These systems provide corporations with an unprecedented level of market coverage, specificity, and penetration along with fully automated customer information tracking.

We believe a large number of corporations are ideally situated to exploit the Internet via the WWW. By providing a comprehensive WWW-based information system, many corporations stand to directly address the large and rapidly growing number of highly accessible net users. The benefits of such a system are numerous: tightly controlled, inexpensive advertising; global access; direct customer feedback; reduced costs due to fewer mailings; on-line catalogs, samples, and sales; and more depending on the market being addressed.

With all members actively involved at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the net.Genesis team has the technological skills to provide world-class service. Our abilities have been demonstrated in various WWW projects including the Sports Information Service (SIS) which was named Best Entertainment Site in the Best of the Web '94 awards (selected over such services provided by MTV, Wired Magazine, and O'Reilly's Global Network Navigator). The SIS receives over 5,000 requests per day (many from overseas sites) and provides on-demand access to team summaries, statistics, and current game scores of the NBA and the NFL. We also maintain the MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) server, which, with more than 250,000 requests per week, is one of the most heavily trafficked systems on the entire WWW.

net.Genesis is composed of six talented members: Rajat Bhargava, Chief Excutive Officer; Matthew Cutler, President; Craig Wisneski, Director of New Media; Matthew Gray, Principal Software Architect; George Hadjiyiannis, Principal Hardware Architect; and Eric Richard, Software Services Engineer. Our members have worked for such companies as Intel, IBM, Motorola, O'Reilly & Associates, and Aetna Life & Casualty and actively participate in the MIT Media Lab and Laboratory for Computer Science. This small number of individuals allows net.Genesis to be an extremely efficient, mobile, responsive, and directed corporation.

net.Genesis Corporate Summary

Rajat Bhargava, Chief Executive Officer,

is responsible for business and management operations while significantly contributing to all technical aspects of the business. He has previously done engineering work for Intel and the Laboratory for Computer Science and will receive an M.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EECS) from MIT in June 1995.

Matthew Cutler, President,

is responsible for business direction and has an extensive computer background that encompasses system administration, design, and application-based support. He previously served as network administrator for the Aetna Life Casualty Bond Department and will receive a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in June 1995.

Craig Wisneski, Director of New Media,

promotes future business and market direction and is involved in technological design with a humanistic approach. He has worked for Motorola and is currently doing research at the MIT Media Lab. He will receive an M.S. in Media Arts & Sciences from MIT in June 1998.

Matthew Gray, Principal Software Architect,

specializes in custom software/coding development. He configured and currently maintains the MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) WWW Server and has also done extensive work for the MIT Media Lab. He is the author of the World Wide Web Wanderer , the first program to provide accurate information on the total number of Web sites available around the world. He will receive a B.S. in Physics from MIT in June 1995.

George Hadjiyiannis, Principal Hardware Architect,

specializes in system and hardware development. He has performed extensive research for the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science in a variety of fields including advanced supercomputing. He currnetly holds a B.S. in EECS and will receive his M.S. from MIT in EECS in January 1995.

Eric Richard, Software Services Engineer,

developed and maintains the Sports Information Service, a tremendously popular WWW site which posts large volumes of sports information. He contributed to a neural net-based handwriting character recognition system at IBM's Aladdin Research Center and will receive an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from MIT in June 1996.
