Welcome to 6.096.

This message, and two that should follow it, contain several pieces of
information that we expect you will find useful. The information in
them should also be available from the course's web page soon:
                     http://www-cs101.ai.mit.edu
We will post updates and important messages as well as all course
documents to that site, so you should get into the habit of checking
it frequently.

The next two messages contain:
o General information about this course, including contact
information for the course staff and the course policy on
       collaboration.
o A short home assignment for this week. This assignment is
officially due in class on Tuesday, but we would appreciate
receiving it by email by the end of lab on Monday (5pm) if
possible. This assignment should not take you long to do (less
than one hour total); please read through it now.

We are looking forward to an exciting term!

                                            The 6.096 Staff
                                            6.096-staff@ai.mit.edu

p.s. Don't forget the lab on Monday, 9 September, in E53-220.
