All right, this e-mail should take people up to just about game-time.
(This assumes that everyone has coredumped to everyone else)

For those of you that were in the Dragon Mountain run:
	You arrived in the city of Restan five days (May 23rd) after hurriedly
escaping from the Mountain, as it was plane-shifting again.  On the
five day trip to the city of Restan, you were attacked repeatedly by
what you now believe to be a party of Darkwalkers.  Once in the city,
you received a summons from the Emperor for a meeting in the Hall of
Justice.  You magically went there, and were told the following
things:
	1.  The palace was attacked last night (May 22nd) by a party of
	men disguised as members of the Imperial Guard.  These men when killed
	would disappear for a second, only to reappear again, but this time 
	more powerful.  They could do this repeatedly.  You recounted your
	encounters with the group on the way to Restan. At this point, Cyrnar
	Randelle, 2nd in command of Delician Intellignce (DI), told you that
	he believed that these were in fact the legendary DarkWalkers,
	and that he would begin research as soon as possible.

	2. The Black Hand's activity was increased.  They were now looking
	at prophecies concerning some type of space fortress.  Cayneek believes
	this to be the the Citadel of the Ancients that the Justice
	has discovered, but has been unable o find any information about. 

	3. Cayneek now wants to find psionicists who can teach psionics to
	others.  He is willing to publicly offer emnesty and safety to any
	psionic who comes forward.

After the meeting, Cayneek added to your group the psionicst Bohdan
(if you don't know his past, ask Andy Kraft, not Bohdan), the paladin
Winston, and finally gave Abel a page in the form of Miklosj ( a 10
year old played by Mike Whitson).  The group then teleported back to
Restan, for lack of any better starting point.  

Two days passed (May 25th), during which the only noteworthy thing was
that many of you noticed that the people of Restan were playing a card
game that apparently has become wildly popular.  (Whole groups watch
games, betting on outcomes, etc.)  Phil noticed that once in a while
one of the cards that a player had in his deck had some type of
magical aura, but as the group has been unable to get their hands on
any of the cards, it hasn't had the opportunity to investigate any
further.  (No, you haven't been able to get any of the regular cards
either.  Seems like vendors keep selling out).  

Anyways, back to May 25th.  In the early morning, Abel, Winston and
Yoav, all being highly ranked members in the Church, were invited to
preside over mass at the city's cathedral.  Abel decided that Miklosj
should come, and strongarmed Lloyd into coming.  On his way out the door,
Yoav forgot to get his daggers, and ended up not coming to mass at all.

Bored, Bohdan and Phil decided to go downstairs to the common romm in
the inn and see what was going on.  Sure enough a game (all right, a
game of Magic) was going on.  Sure enough, Phil deteced a magical
crad, and investigated.  As soon as Phil began investigating, a very
thin man in black robes left the room, as quickly as he could possibly
move (in this aspect, think Rastlin.  The man is impossibly thin, in
fact, skeletal).  

The man was quickly followed by another, dressed in leather armor,
carrying a long sword.  When Bohdan scanned the man, usig a psionic
ability, the man stopped appeared confused, and then ran out the room,
following the skeletal man.  Bohdan and Phil followed immediately.
Suddenly, both were brought to an excrutiatingly painful halt when
thier minds were assailed by a mental scream.  Barely crawling, they
made it to the door of the inn, where the found the skeletal man
unconscious in the alley next to the inn, and the armored man with a
drawn sword advancing on the prostrate form.  Phil, in agony, decided
on a target, and lightning bolted the armored guy.  The scream
promptly went away.  Bohdan and Phil rushed over to the skeletal guy,
and tried to figure out who he way.  Bohdan tried to Probe the guy's
mind, and was promptly ejected when the man regained consciousness.
At this time, Yoav burst into the alley, thinking a fight was going
on.  Unfotunately, a crowd was beginning to assemble, so our brave
heroes, and their slightly reluctant guest decided it was time to
leave.  They teleported up to Bohdan's chambers.  Where they tried to
convince Skel (they got his name out of him) that they were friendly.
They reached an impasse (Phil can be such an imposing figure in a
room).  Finally, Abel returned from Church service and walked into the
room.  Abel took stock of th situation (Yoav core dumped), and took
over.  He cast a couple of spells, decided he could trust Skel, but
balked when Skel asked to contact another psionicist.  Another impasse
was reached.  So Abel did the Abel thing.  He left the room, there was
flask of brilliant white light, and then he came bak into the room,
and said Skel could do whatever he wanted.  The rest of the party
simply shrugged.

Meanwhile, after asking Yoav for options, Abel decided that the party
should return to the Imperial palace, to have the Emperor meet Skel.
Skel objected saying he needed things from his lodgings.  Abel finally
relented, giving Skel two hours to get his things and be back in the
inn.  He also sent Bohdan and Yoav with him.

When they arrived at Sekls' lodgings, the group was immediately
assailed by the mental screams of a hunter.  The psionicists (Skel and
Bohdan) collaspsed to the floor in agony, leaving Yoav wondering what
the hell was going on.  Bohdan managed to utter the words
"Hunter.... Kill", which gave Yoav enough directions to adopt a course
of action.  Yanking the back door open, he encoutered a set of
triplets who proceed to attack him using swords and spells.  Finally,
a battered Yoav managed to kill two of the triplets and drive the
third one off.  Skel managed to get his things (while the party set off
two traps in finding a business card witht the inscription 
 "Brought to you by the Brothers Karamazov" ).  Bohdan teleported the
bodies to the river, and the group teleported back to the inn, where
the others were waiting.  

Finally, after Abel delivered a lecture to Skel, the group teleported
to the palace.  After a run in with the captain of the troops guarding
the teleport chamber, the group enetered the main hall, where they ran
into (well, Phil figuratively ran into) Cyrnar Randelle, who ordered
you to follow him.  Cyrnar burst into a meeting of the Emperor, Melin
and three Archdukes, and delivered a scroll to the Emperor.  The
Emperor read the scroll and immediatley became angry, punching out a
huge window in his office, and destroying his desk.  He ordered the
Archdukes out of his presence, and then related the news to the group.
The scroll contained:
	1. The city of Melidre, a southern port city, was destroyed by
a spell that is a favorite of the Black Hand.  It is a suicide spell
that creates a trememdous explosion (the size of a thermonuclear
warhead) that literally wipes out a city. 100,00 Imperial troops were
killed, and at least 450,000 of the 500,000 residents were also
killed.  All that remains of the city are its docks, where the
survivors have taken refuge.
	2. Two members of the Justice were tortured to death, and
their mutilated bodies were dumped on the steps of the Basillica(sort
of like the Vatican).  

Cayneek has vowed revenge, stating that he wants every member of the
Black Hand dead.  He asked/ordered Skel to join the group, and then
told the group it should depart tomorrow. He doesn't car where to, he
just wants results.


On the way out, Randelle related to you what he has discovered about
the Darkwalkers.  Only a member of the seven banished gods can create
them, and before the Four Avatars came back, they were rare.  When the
Four came back, they apparently created a lot of them.  Yoav raised
the point that Darkwalkers would be able to cast the suicide spell
multiple times, since they would come back after dying.  Skel raised
the point that the sudden surge in sightings of Darkwalkers might
signify more were being made (although you didn't destroy all of them,
there certainly weren't this many around, you think), signifying,
possibly another of the seven might have returned?
