Hello.

The Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) has given us a list of
their guest accounts which can now be deactivated, and your username
appears on that list. If you do not make other arrangements, your
athena account will be deactivated on May 21st.

If you are currently an MIT student or staff member, please contact
the Athena User Accounts office (x3-1325, 11-124H, accounts@mit.edu)
so that we can update our records.

If you are not an MIT staff member but are working with an MIT faculty
or staff member, that person may be able to sponsor your account for
you. You'll need to complete an "Athena Account Request Form"
(available in 11-115) and have it signed by the sponsor.

If you are still doing work for the SIPB, please contact them and have
them notify us to extend your account.

Although your files will remain on-line temporarily after your account
is deactivated, you should make a backup of your files. Information
about making backups can be found in "help" under the section
"Managing Your Athena Account".

If you have any questions about the account deactivation process,
please contact the Athena User Accounts office.
