This is almost certainly a forged address. 

Seeing a message claiming to be from someuser@someplace.edu does not
imply the message actually came from someuser@someplace.edu.  Email
on the Internet is generally unauthentic.

If you send us the full mail headers, we might be able to point
you to the real source of the message.  Good luck.
