There was a boring ACRB meeting that he went to. ATHENA REPORT There may be a network-wide 9700 license given to Athena soon. John Kohl now works for Dave Grubbs. OFFICE REPORT Fuzzy brought us a TK-Solver for the Macintosh. We lost a volume of our RT1 manual. JR thinks that we should let SIPBADMIN people charge things like tapes, manuals and floppy disks to the project. The next chairman should talk to Jim Bruce about this. They finally took the garbage out of the office thanks to Pat. SOCIAL COMMITTEE REPORT Coleen's is going out of business at the end of the month. A SIPB dinner is planned for Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. The menu and sign-up sheet are in the office. The price is fifteen dollars but it may go up a little. Another shirt order is going in soon. There will be a commemorative glass for the dinner which will cost three dollars. Carla proposes that we add 5 cents to the cost of each can of soda to buy meeting refreshments with. Simsong objects. Soda-buyers should not be taxed for such refreshments. There is no motion on the issue. However, it is generally agreed that someone can bring something in and solicit contributions to cover its cost. COMPUTER SERVICES Please keep the cash book up to date, especially for Coop accounts. Coop accounts are accounts we get cash for, generally for things we don't support, such as graduate theses. Don't take a requisition. Also, have the user let us know when he/she is done with the account so we can shut it off and refund some money. TELECOMMUNICATIONS REPORT We sold some more terminals last week. OTHER OTHER Carla and Meilin are having a U.S. For Africa/Beach party on Friday at 9:00 p.m. in the 2W lounge. The Seafood Pizza at Uno's is a big win. The meeting was adjourned at 20:16.
