It is a Sony Multisync 2e, a 17" color monitor with a .25mm dot-pitch. It cost $886. It should show qup either at the end of this week or early next week. Yonah and Cat picked up the scanner on Thursday. It is an HP ScanJet 2c costing $525. Chairman's Report: '() Office Report: The person who normally cleans up our office expressed interest in trying to clean our carpet. There's this new cleaning thing that she'd like to try out. We would need to clear out of the office between 3am and 7am some morning. Tomorrow night would be fine. We'll need to take boxes off of the floor. Yaz-pistachio's and lola's monitors were swapped. MIT Computing Report: Athena has a new AFS top-level volume server. It is a Sparc 20 running SunOS. Computer Services: Ghudson wrote front-end to the scanner called "scanner". It's in /usr/local/bin on limekiller. Not too many people have used it, but many people think the clock is gratuitous. SIPB Backup Report: AFS and 3 machines were done last week. The tapes that should be used this week are in the vault. No backup has been done this week. In the last couple weeks we've added a tape to each set, and we've used up the last of our spare tapes. Jonathan moves to allocate $150 (from either this year's or next year's budget) to buy Exabyte tapes. Passed by white-ballot. Publications Report: Chad has been lame. Bert has been lame, but in Croatia. R/O Report: IAP Report: CokeComm Report: People should keep taking cans and bottles down. People should not put carbonated beverages in the freezer. Other: People at BBN seem to think they've hired away all of SIPB for the summer. People in DCNS disagree. cat and greg now have his-and-hers workstations both at work and at home. netgen has announced a new product, netform. The share price shot up from $32 to $61. Air show at Hanscomb this weekend.
