Chairman's Report: '() Office Report: svalente: someone fixed keesh's video card so the monitor cable now stays in. hartmans: Someone who can log into oliver should deal such that inetd works at least occasionally. ghudson: The office has acquired a dual-pentium case. The rest of the machine is backordered. jweiss: There appears to be one too many bicycles in here. jhawk: We still have the CD player that was sold to Chad. It should begone. hartmans: more grumbling about the chairs. Someone should deal. ghudson: If you're interested in getting the chairs replaced, feel free to talk to the MIT Furniture Exchange or WW15. MIT Computing Report: ghudson: I released Zephyr 2.0 beta, and the response hasn't been overwhelming so far, but I did get a response from aol.net... Computer Services: ghudson: There was an AFS outage earlier today, a failure mode I'm not familiar with. mhpower thinks rosebud2 might have lost contact with one of its disks. SIPB Backup Report: jweiss: I did charon, picayune, and penguin-lust last week, but not AFS. I started AFS today but the outage interfered, and six or eight volumes were affected. The backup continued. Publications Report: svalente: I'm trying to decide whether iLinux-Athena needs to be modified or restarted. Anyone want to help? hartmans: You might want to try to get someone working on Linux-Athena as well. cat: Because some people don't understand why the note on the board is out there, our iLaTeX was mentioned in a class for RSI students, and they descended on us in a large mass. yandros: On a related note, the path on the board is wrong, never tell anyone to use the working files... use /afs/sipb/project/doc/current... shabby: what's the message? ghudson: it tells people how to print out iLaTeX.
