It would be good if the office was open then. kcr: move to allocate $110 for a Connectix QuickCam. Plugs in to PC parallel port mwhitson: How will this FTGOS? kcr: Our users might buy them. mwhitson: I'm very skeptical. [Motion failed due to lack of its ability to FTGOS.] jhawk: Granola's keyboard broke. Things happened; we don't know where our keyboards are. Nocturne sent mail. [ nocturne: granola has the IBM Lexmark keyboard which was most recently attached to limekiller, which originally belonged to jerkface the PS/2 mod-70. Limekiller now has a cheesy keyboard (which was Cordelia's) which came from the keyboard cabinet. ] jhawk: phone fixed; we weren't notified, 3help is still broken. jhawk: zsr isn't as fixed as we thought it was. If it looks locked up, hit ctrl-alt-backspace to kill the X server. Try to avoid rebooting it. MIT Computing Report: hartmans: The Kerberos TGT and other service keys were changed Friday. A few things broke. Computer Services: ghudson: A new ksrvutil has been released for NetBSD in /srvd/patch. yonah: copyed fixed ksrvutil into Linux elf srvd. jhawk: Discuss keys need to be owned by discuss; both SIPB and ops got this wrong. sit: Linux packages will be updated tonight. yonah: New load displays (from top down on the X terminal): traditional load, connections per second, 10 kb per second. These display info about the web server. ghudson: Linux release engineering sucks. Linux users complained about old Kerberos code that tended to use the Kerberos5 kdc, which network didn't update properly. kcr: It's not clear that anyone told Netops that there was a problem. SIPB Backup Report: jweiss: All non-AFS servers were done last week. tlyu: AFS didn't happen last week, it's happening now. marc: What is the status of the DLT drive? kcr: The order was blocked on tapes. Jered called and told them to ship the DLT drive without tapes. We may be able to get tapes from ops. sgw: I have it on good sources that there is a world-wide shortage of DLT, 4mm tapes, and 8mm tapes. Publications Report: sit: The Linux one-sheet was copied. ghudson: ~afsdev/beta has moved to ~afsdev/atic/bet and will move again. We should deal with this before copying I Linux.
