Chairman's Report: elliot: Assuming that we hear another EC member, will vote on the constitution two weeks from today. I will not be here next week so cat will referee. jhawk: I ask the board to ratify it as a whole. Office Report: nygren: I noticed steve doing funny video card things and showed it to lou. xiphmont: lou said, SGI is not going to fix that. nygren: We have these big black monoliths with surfaces that are empty. There is now perl magnetic fridge poetry. I move to allocate $14 dollars to purchase. kcr: I believe that it is wise to save the auction funds for something not so frivolous. jhawk: I don't think it's a good idea to spend money on frivolous items. The overhead of getting money from individuals is a pain. I'm curious as to whether there are other generic fridge poetry. tivol: Standard English magnetic poetry has shell commands. pipa: I think that it would be cute toy but should not go on the fridge. tb: 1) I think fridge poetry is fun. 2) Who cares where we get extra money from; maybe someone should get it themselves. 3) If we get perl we should also get the generic set. sepherke: so that we can make comments? jhawk: I make a friendly amendment to add the generic set. nygren: If people want to give me money to reduce amount from auction fund should give it to me. nygren: accepted. It's king-of-pain/spain? on the net. It's being used for netBSD development. jhawk: The basselope gap has increased. xcb has more support for more cool things from the prompt. pipa: Lou came in to replace HD on harlow. kcr: Move to allocate $150 for snork video card that sucks less. This card only has 1MB of video memory. jered: mkc's monitor jitters. Maybe we should swap with another monitor. Office Cleaning Report: tivol: About two weeks ago there are bags of annoying stuff sitting on the office floor. I would like to throw out bags on fri after warning people about bags. How would I go about doing this? jhawk: I think that less than a weeks' notice is insufficient. I like to know why you want to do this. xiphmont: Because tripping over it is f*cking annoying. tivol: If it's garbage it thrown out. elliot: I suggest you make a motion that stuff not thrown out in 2 weeks will be thrown out. tivol: [motion] Move to throw out bags of annoying stuff two weeks from tonight after the sipb meeting and after giving due warning. jewell: Suggest that the office czar hold an auction on the bags. mhpower: I think that people other than monty should do an interpretivative dance. jhawk: What's your motivation? tivol: They are in the way. jhawk: I object to you saying that they are bags of annoying stuff. elliot: jhawk I think that it okay to overlook the terminology. klmitch: It seems that SIPB is too packrat-ish. We should deal with this extra stuff in an appropriate manner. elliot: [amendment to motion] Dispose of material at discretion of office czar of special operations. [Motion passes 8-1-3] pipa: Yesterday Rose handed some pictures when we repainted the office. I also talked to her about the cleaning lady wasn't dumped the trash. jhawk: I rather you should have talked to the cleaning lady herself. pipa: I would like to add that Rose asked me why the office looked like at a pit 9am, Sunday morning.
