We'll be getting one chair w/o arms and extra adjustments, and one with arms and all possible adjustments. This lets us test out which adjustments we like and which ones break. zacheiss: The new PCs came in. We set them up. gisele: yandros is dealing with the other chairs. He found another chair, in addition to the one we got two of, that he thinks might be good for the office. He wants to know if people are ok with getting one of the Reaction chair and one of the Equa II chair instead of two of the latter. [white ballot, motion passes] jweiss: If people think we should get rid of any of the hardware that we recently replaced, you should let me know. hartmans: Can we start the deactivation process for old-granola? jweiss: Straw poll, should we get rid of the hardware that was granola? [many-none] jweiss: Move to get rid of granola's CPU, at the discretion of the Office Czar in Charge of Special Operations. [hartmans seconds, white ballot, motion passes] dbj: There used to be a full-height HD on milo that had some useful stuff on it for the NeXT. Does anyone know where it has gone? sly: If anyone is good at disassembling Sun keyboards, portnoy has a sticky key; mail was sent. seph: snork's '1' key is ailing. xela: The new keyboard I brought in for milq seems to have solved the keyboard problems, we should get rid of the old broken one. hartmans: One of the office laptop drops is broken (the one behind the desk with bobbi-harlow.) Office Cleaning Report: hartmans: I was in my room when cleaning happen last week. fastcart said he and one or two other people did some cleaning. MIT Computing Report: '() Computer Services: kolya: I proposed buying some disks for the new news server. Working out technical details. jhawk: The web server was unreliable this weekend due to apparent AFS cache problems. SIPB Backup Report: klmitch: It looks like AFS is happening. hartmans: yandros was doing UFS. Publications Report: jhawk: I was lame. We're still out of iLatex. eichin: There have been lots of requests for it recently. jhawk: I will be unlame soon. hartmans: When people come in, you can also point them to the document on the web, print a copy for them, or explain to them how to print a copy. proven: There is one remaining iMATLAB. jhawk: We have some in the back. jemorris: Someone who wants a project and knows MATLAB should update iMATLAB for the new version, since when I wrote it we had 4.2. The new version has multidimensional arrays which are really cool. Orientation Report: gisele: The deadline for the summer mailing insert is May 28. We can probably use what we used last year. This may not be as big of a security hole as it sounds, you may actually need a check on the bank account. belmonte: Cambridge Trust is apparently now charging an ATM fee. *boo* *hiss* hartmans: I finally got a customer I think I can bank at and not feel guilty. sly: Mother's Day is this Sunday.
