I'd like $500. fyfer: How many do we have? tibbetts: Two. It's uncommon to run out. hartmans: Can we flame the Kinesis users for not fixing them when they're done? belmonte: Yes. In fact, I was about to do that. aletta: I have been defaulting to leaving a machine in whatever state it is. Sometimes the next person wants it in whatever state it's in. belmonte: I don't know about you all, but I always put the seat down when I'm finished. This seems the same sort of etiquette. fyfer: Let's not talk about whether the seat should be left up or down. That's a much more contentious issue. gif: There's the issue that with the Suns, the keyboard has an extra pin. It seems easy to destroy a sun keyboard by plugging it into the wrong place. arolfe: Users who come in and need to log in don't usually want a Kinesis. jhawk: We should separate these two issues. fyfer: Some people don't want to vote for the expenditure without knowing how the keyboards will be dealt with. jhawk: Can we take a poll as to whether it's reasonable to require that machines be returned to the normal keyboard configuration? dmaze: We should word it as "should Kinesis users put the original keyboard back." <13 in favor, 3 against, a couple other> fyfer: People seem to want them to be put back the way they were. How many in favor of the allocation? <11-0-5, motion passes> [tibbetts allocation: $500 for keyboards] Office Cleaning Report: tibbetts: People who take down redeemables out in the lounge will take down our non-deposit recyclables.
