Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2008-05-26


The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by kaduk.

In attendance were

Officer Reports:

	kaduk: I was kind of lame and sat on several reimbursement requests,
		but turned them in last week, so they should arrive soon.

SIPB Projects Report:

	andersk: As of yesterday, geofft is the new Scripts Architect.
	kaduk: The SIPB is greatful to you for your time and efforts, Anders.
		scripts.mit.edu was, and continues to be, an excellent service.

Office Report:

	mitchb: cutter-john and the door sensor are once again operational.
		[looks at cj, notices the monitor is blank, and it doesn't
		ping]
	jhawk: I turned it off because of the noise.
	mitchb: Turn it back on.
	jhawk: I don't take such direction from you.
	mitchb: Turn it back on.
	kaduk: I would note that when there is a problem, or perceived
		problem, with an office head, it is best to either zephyr
		or send mail about it before dropping it, or actually attempt
		to resolve the problem.

	kaduk: There've been several unpleasant odors in the office lately.
		Paint from cluster work, mold smell coming from the drip
		tray in the refrigerator.
	[price (after the meeting): The mold smell is gone, and vanished in
		under a minute when we removed the drip pan for cleaning on
		Sunday afternoon.  That was the smell that was driving people
		from the office Friday and Saturday; the office was populous
		again Sunday.]

Other:

	kaduk: The cluster next door is closed for wall and floor renovations.

	[wdaher (via phone) called to let people know about a barbeque at
		Windsington that we were invited to.]
