Today we have a membership election after the normal meeting proceedings. dwilson: The poster will be moving to a new smaller space across the hall also in building 3. SIPB Project Updates: jhamrick: Gutenbach is having a hackathon this weekend from 2 until late. Crash course on Debian packaging and Gutenbach as well. dwilson: CPW is sooner than you think. Deadline is next week? lizdenys: Friday. dwilson: If you have ideas or want to help with things suggested, talk to Leonid for Python Bee or the EC for other things. Other: asedeno: ncurses released version 5.8 today. dkk: I became a SIPB member in '87. I'm working at Google now, and there are various events SIPB might be interested in. I have a talk about maps tonight, and for future similar events, I'd like to keep SIPB in the loop of things. I wanted to do search education over IAP but didn't get around to it. Perhaps we can do more computing services things over Google if someone can liason because I don't know the academic schedule. lizdenys: Add Date is Friday. However much you trust your own laptop. I don't remember what it was. Did I? I wanted to make sure I didn't get the wording wrong. mikemp: I don't know what mailing lists I'll get on. It seems like a good community to be in touch with.
