Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2023-06-19


The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by colclark.

        colclark: Thanks everyone for coming to the dinner, it as very fun, maybe we can do it more frequently. We can schedule another one next meeting.
        
Project Reports:

        almonds: dormdigest continues
        
        huydai: updating the frontend, fixing some bugs, going well
        
        colclark: can we get it so that if someone dormspams incorrectly, then it reply-alls "unsubscribe"? fully automated flame war
        
        huydai: yes, we can use the new SIPB LLMs service to make several chatbot personas to fuel a flame war
        
        colclark: sipb discord starts this week, and hydrant starts next week/later
        
        amigdal: scripts continues
        
        rgabriel: sipb docs will continue; it will get done
        
        huydai: can we talk about the tools for white hat hacking/pentesting?
        
        huydai: I was proposing $250: $80 rubber ducky and $170 for flipper zero? The idea is that they are going to be available for SIPB members to use to learn pentesting and ethical hacking (stress on the ethical part). Flipper zero can emulate a lot of different wireless devices like remote controls, smart cards, remote controls, etc. Rubber Ducky is like a Bad USB that acts like a keyboard and can inject various interesting payloads to the computer it's connected to.

        amigdal: bcachefs is getting closer to being mainlined in linux, in case people like playing around with filesystems. It's a new-ish filesystem, with a few similar features to ZFS.
