Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 04/1/96


The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by nocturne.

Office Report:

	jweiss: Remember to wash your chopsticks and put them away.
		The office is mostly non-pitly.

	jweiss: snork has one fewer disk.

MIT Computing Report:

	kcr: First stage of quota upgrade is happening tonight.  I
		think we're going with 13M.

Computer Services:

SIPB Backup Report:

	hartmans: The AFS backup failed this morning, and is started
		again.

	jweiss: Everything besides the web server was done last week.
		Someone else should do servers this week.

Publications Report:

	quijote: I am writing a publication on doing web pages at MIT.
		It will cover things like image maps and stuff; send
		suggestions.

R/O Report:

	hartmans: I haven't dealt with Midway or anything yet.  It
		needs to happen by May 9 so this isn't a problem.

IAP Report:

	marc: We are out of IBC.

	hartmans: CFP happened.

	yoav: taxes suck.

	jweiss: People with cars should be aware that this is April
		and Cambridge may tow if they want to clean the
		street.
	cordelia:  That advice would have been useful Sunday.

	danw: gullable doesn't appear in /usr/dict/words. [The
		secretary reserves the right of artistic spelling.]

	marc: There is a shower in the cluster.
