[jhawk seconds] [srz has objection to white ballot] [discussion ensues - these drops are one behind oliver, and the other near the fridge, and are the last two non-active drops, so getting more will be significantly more expensive.] marc: People often want to have a laptop and a desktop, on the front side of the room. jhawk: We've also lost network drops because of the flaky aui with the SGI's. [motion passes 14-0-5] Office Cleaning Report: jhawk: Kretch sucks. zacheiss: People should clean the office. MIT Computing Report: Computer Services: belmonte: Last spring the SIPB was a co-organiser, along with the Educational Studies Program and the CTY Alumni Association, of a theoretical computer science course for high school students. Several SIPB members and prospectives helped to make the course a success. A summary of that course, including feedback from students, is at "http://www.mattababy.org/~belmonte/Teaching/CS1/esp99.html". CTYAA and ESP plan to run the course again this coming semester, and we wonder if SIPB would be interested in signing on as an organiser again. Move that we add our name to theoretical comp. sci. class.
