Some people aren't happy about it. jhawk: I have a mail that talks about where they got the input to decide on this. jhawk zephyred the following text from that mail: --- The changes that we're making are based largely on student feedback from IS Customer surveys over the past couple of years, student input from focus groups associated with the 1-to-1 computing initiatives, and with student interviews conducted during the past year in clusters an in areas near clusters (e.g., the lounge area of W20 on the first floor) We also have been looking carefully at what other schools are doing in their student computing spaces to discern the trends that these reveal. I addition, we have reached out to both the GSA and the UGA to get representatives on a more on-going basis to several advisory groups (e.g. Stellar Advisory Group, and forming in the fall of 04 a Learning Spaces Advisory Group). The UGA indicated that they would prefer to identify someone in the fall rather than immediately to coincide with their usual pattern of assigning committee memberships at the start of the school yea We look forward to their input. --- hartmans: It sucks that they went to the UA and GSC instead of us Computer Services: Publications Report: ocschwar: Bleed on iLatex before I kill trees.
