Office Report: jtu: I'd like to allocate $200 for foley to bring the film scanner in for maintenance. jhawk: Friendly amendment to make sure it gets tested with a known piece of film before it gets sent in. MIT Computing Report: hartmans: win.mit.edu is testing release 4.1, which is going to come out later this month. This doesn't support WinXP SP2. Go pismere. jhawk: Bill noticed that the same PXE boot server that lets you install WinAthena lets you install RHEL. Unfortunately, it doesn't have sane defaults, and expects you to know where to find installation media. Other Other: hartmans: Next week is a good week not to be here. golem: As per my tradition, I will be out of the country during August. jtu: I'm currently working with Dave Burmaster and Mitch Berger to convince MIT to improve network connections to off-campus FSILGs, which are currently at 1.5 Mbps, as opposed to dorms and on-campus FSILGs, which are at 10 Mbps/100 Mbps/1 Gbps.
