Please come to at least one. Link to events: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oWB-dRpRgCWtyA0OA073AACHFXCOaonDFNDO1btSvqs/edit We'll have Chipotle on Friday as well. innaavo: Also, activities midway is Saturday, Is anyone free at that time? It's 13:00 to 15:00. We'd also like to bring Max and some of the merch. alwinfy: I think I should be free jmvidal: I think I'll be free as well. aabreu: When should we show up for server room tours? innaavo: Ideally 15 minutes before alwinfy: Empty room today! Project Reports: aabreu: DormDigest does not continue - we've been busy this week, but it will continue next week. almonds: I am in New York! aabreu: Did you see the eclipse? innaavo: How covered was it? almonds: Yeah, the whole sky was covered in clouds. But it was cool to see it turn so dark. alwinfy: Doorpi/Door sign continues; I've updated the sign to be a reminder about CPW, and I think we should probably program some stuff on the sign that talks about the events we're gonna be running. I think that might be helpful to increase turnout; for people who are showing up during CPW who see the sign, as well. alwinfy: WIth that being said, though, I think we want someone in the office as much as possible over CPW weekend. So if you have work to do this weekend, consider sitting in the office so people can come in and ask about stuff. innaavo: [redacted] jmvidal: HWOps continues! We are moving stuff in the server room. No meeting this Friday - server room tours. aabreu: Is putting up the new server postponed for CPW? jmvidal: Yes! We're building it Friday at 20:30-22:30. Other: alwinfy: I've been interested in picking up some ASIC/FPGA stuff. Would we be interested in picking up some stuff for SIPB to have in the office/play around with? almonds: I'd be interested! jmvidal: I think we do have one FPGA. aabreu: FPGA? alwinfy: Field-programmable gate array - basically halfway between software and hardware. Hardware circuits you can program. innaavo: How much do they cost? almonds: They can get pretty expensive depending on the model. TinyFPGA BX is small and costs $50. scj643: Do we have a J-Link? almonds: I have some but makes more sense for SIPB to get some. alwinfy: Don't think so Other Other: scj643: I'm married! [general applause] innaavo: I was looking through the CPW events, and there's some CPW event at Random (or EC?) that was just going to be a marriage. So that's fun. aabreu: Two prefrosh getting married? innaavo: No! Probably not. alwinfy: The eclipse was today. As far as we saw, it was just the sun dimming for about an hour, but there's some really amazing footage online. scj643: I was on the Green Building with Radio Society! almonds: I was in Rochester, NY, and totality was four minutes. When it got darker, I felt it get colder, and a rooster did its morning call in the distance. The meeting was adjourned at 19:47. Minutes taken by innaavo, almonds, alwinfy and submitted by alwinfy.
