Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of June 13th, 1983 In attendance were RK, GMP, CLM, Naha, and CBF. Late were Carl Manning (a prospective member). JR kept on popping in and out. The meeting was called to order at 19:34 by CLM. The minutes of the previous meeting were not read. User Interrupt: Someone came in and asked for funding for the Summer IPS FORTRAN course. We said we would give her a computer account. To Meeting Applications: Piotr Bendykowski wants $50 to do business correspondence and research. Has had $200 already. Given. Delta Upsilon (John Einhorn) wants $100 to text-process pledge manual. Given for June only. Gregory W. Hughes wants $70 for 21.009. There was some talk that this course is not offered this summer. Move to defer pending more info. Treasurer's Report: We have spent 130756.77 Multics year-to-date. We have spent 4134.41 Multics month-to-date. SIPB/SIPBADMIN is 22197.48 year-to-date. SIPB/SIPBADMIN is 687.52 month-to-date. Chairman's Report: The chairman is still alive in California. Rumor has it that CAH is dealing with physical plant about the work in the Student Center. Someone should start thinking about our future. Office Report: There is puzzle in the office. Someone should straighten out the office book collection. The microfiche reader is still broken. Computer Services: None. Telecommunications Report: Brian Herr has told RK that the phone company is supposed to fix the dialing problem on 37760 and connect up 86823 by tomorrow. Someone should check on the wires rented from the phone company between the Student Center and building 11 (and also the Student Center and building W91). Terminal Report: The Z19 at Bromley is waiting for a part which they have on order. Publications Report: We got tangerine orange Form B's. They look nice. It was decided that people wanting money for the summer should fill out a purple form for the rest of June and an orange form or the rest of the summer. Orange forms will be processed around July 1st. Do not process them now. The auto limit for orange forms was set to $100 with a recommended $50 limit per application. Annual-Report Report: None. R/O Report: Amy and Carla are thinking about the Freshman letter. None. IAP Report: None.
