Minutes of the SIPB meeting of 11 July 1983.

Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm by Amy (acting chair).

Present:  Amy, psr and Gary.  (and Ramin's Freshman's silly little friend)

Not seeing a lot of people, we decided to recess to talk about
Toscanini's and wait for more people to show up.  Alan and RF entered here.

Present:  Alan, ACW, CBF, KAM (+ above).

                       TO MEETING APPLICATIONS:

TCA wants 75  for frosh picture book.  Given.

KAM wants 50.  known loser.  given.

                          CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
RDZ says to pester ERIC for our pdp-11.
The chairman is going to go ask wes if he will fund stud orgs again.

                            OFFICE REPORT
I and amy are going to update the office manual because it is very out
of date.

                          COMPUTER SERVICES
We need to do something about pascal.
We need to do a dump/cleanup.

Visicrock:  We have a TRS-80 which should be put to some use.  We can
(a) leave it in the office, (b) put it in the student center, or (c)
put it in the bldg 11 term room.  We decide to do (c) if IPS says ok.
We will check the disks out from the office.  We will take an ID for
the disk.

                       TELECOMUNICATIONS REPORT
We are going to get the VT100 back from LSC and put it in the student
center.  Jay will do this.

We need a new telecommunications chairperson.  I "volunteered".

Barry is not here.  Yes he is.  The SC a/c wasn't working and barry
called it in; we don't know if it works yet.

                         PUBLICATIONS REPORT

We are going to send people a master and a letter that says that they
can reproduce NOT FOR PROFIT our lisp notes.   In the fall we should
tell people about Touretzky's new lisp book.  It is good.
