Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 06/4/90


	The meeting was called to order at Mon Jun  4 19:30:12 EDT 1990

	In attendance were

	Treasurer's Report:

		no treasurer

		Fiscal year ends July 1, so it's really too late to get
the 386 box until next (fiscal) year.  Think about it for now and we'll
act on it later.

		Spring water--we have prices--about $10/month for a hot & cold
cooler + $4.80 per 6-gallon bottle (delivery once or twice per month by
arrangement).  How do we pay for it?  What about charging something like
$0.10/cup?  (unpopular)  No consensus reached yet.  We'll talk to Kathy
Allen first.

	CokeComm Report:

		Coke has been ordered--bjaspan is dealing.

	Chairman's Report:

		In NY with the chairman.

	Office Report:

		Office is here.

	Athena Report:

		7.0F is in staff test.  AFS is still running a
very old release [marc flames].

	Computer Services:

		Motion to terminate.  Terminated.

	Telecommunications Report:  

		We have a TrailBlazer Plus on bloom-beacon, but it isn't
hooked up yet.

		Charon conversion is proceeding.  Chaosnet is running on
m11-111-2, for what it's worth.  Motion to test old charon on Green
Building Linear Gravitational Accelerator.  Dropped.

	Publications Report:

		AFS docs?  Everything else is still there.

		Essential LaTeX--are here and should be bled upon.

	R/O Report:

		coming soon to an Institute near you.

	IAP Report:

		September is IAP planning planning month

	Other:

		Applause for new alumni.  Relief by new alumni.  Barcos'
speech was reasonable.
