Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 11/17/2003


The meeting was called to order at 19:33 by golem.

Treasurer's Report:
	hartmans: The treasurer was looking at SAP and thinking of
		keeping his appointment calendar in it.

Chairman's Report:

Office Report:
	jhawk: I borrowed a spare toner cartridge and returned it.
	golem: Ike borrowed a camera.

Office Cleaning Report:
	arolfe: I cleaned yesterday.
	jhawk: The soda can area was a complete disaster.  Don't mix
		empties and fulls.
	hartmans: We seem to lack flats for empties.	
	jhawk: They're behind the fridge.

MIT Computing Report:
	jhawk: Mail delivery times on the PO servers dropped to under a
		second on Friday and stayed that way until this morning,
		until they became 4s again.
	hartmans: IS seems to have gone through more of the
		musical chairs rounds.  tregan may have people reporting
		to her this time around.

Computer Services:
	jhawk: My mail system monitoring project is slowly proceeding.
		I plan to ask the EC for test accounts on all of the PO
		servers. 
	arolfe: rtfm seems to have decommissioned itself.  yay.
	jhawk: That's not correct.  It's broken.

IAP Report:
	hartmans: For the second year in a row, someone complained about
		my class description.  
	hartmans: I think I'm going to punt the country instead of
		teaching an IAP class.

Other:
	hartmans: The kerberos network authentication protocol seems to
		be on the IETF telechat agenda for two weeks from now.
	kchen: There's an AskSIPB meeting after this meeting.

Other Other:
	golem: I have an itch on my chin but can't scratch it because of
		the novicane and I can't feel my chin.
