Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2007-07-23


The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by tabbott.

	tabbott: We’re having an EC meeting after this one to discuss
		the scripts decision-making policy

	tabbott: Also, when I claimed I was going to be out of town
		next week, I should have said that this week.

MIT Computing Report:

SIPB Projects Report:

	zev: No one showed up to the SIPB virtualization work session.

tabbott:

	tabbott: andersk and I have written two PAM modules and three
		nsswitch modules for debathena. We should have fixed
		almost all of our issues except for a zephyr install
		issue. We hope to release in a few days.

Office Report:

	tabbott: There seems to be a lot of junk in laptop
		land. Including some sort of green stuffed animal or
		something.
	nelhage: It’s a Cthulhu.

Education Report:

	tabbott: We still need someone to take care of orientation
		stuff and IAP stuff.

Other:

	oschwar: Asus…
	all:	SUCKS
	oschwar: Asus’ published list of compatible DIMMs of RAM for
		motherboard models appears to not correlate with
		actual experience. Also, they seem to not be printing
		serial numbers, required by online support, on their
		motherboard boxes.

	asedeno: Harry Potter 7 came out, in case you missed it?
	ctl: What’s Harry Potter 7?
	tabbott: I hear it got leaked before it came out, too.
