	The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by WER.

		CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
	there is a cce meeting right after wer's final.  she won't be there
on the 22nd, someone should go besides her.  she will try to find someone.

	we will be talking about the budget in january.  6 jan is the 1st
meeting on this subject.

		OFFICE REPORT
	the test box came back.  if you lend it out write it down.

	defrost the freezer.  someone didn't find an unprocessed application
in the freezer.  however, they did find one filed away.  this is wrong.

	nobody should feel too constrained to defrost the freezer before
finals.

		COMPUTER SERVICES

	should dmk have an account on sipb?

		JSL COROUTINE STACK SWITCH

	he still can't find the storage and overhead charges in last year's
annual report.  also, how much did we spend on phone lines last year?

		COMPUTER SERVICES RETURN

	we won't give dmk any more money.

	Should we have an absentee job which puts studentxx users into the
inquir data base?  it would be easier than asking them, but there is the
privacy issue.  we discuss ways of giving people the option of not leaving
their full names in inquir.

	cliff wants to know why we don't do this next year.

	we will remove the inquir questions from the student start-up.

motion by JSL to put the names in the inquir w/o considering privacy
issue.  freindly amendment by Barmar to put something into the login message
telling them
to call us if they don't want to be in inquir.  passes.

	Steve wants an add_amount option like sift-1 on

		TELECOMMUNICATIONS REPORT

	we are not out of spinwriter ripbons.  there are more in the
DARKROOM!

	changing line length on the spinwriter.  you have to change the line
length on the spinwriter for someone with superscripts and subscripts.  as
things are now you can not leave the spinwriter in this condition because the
next paper to come out has a space between each letter.

	we need to order la120 paper.

	there are h19's at wellesley which should be picked up.

		TERMINAL REPORT

	the terminal at mccormick should be checked.

	the student center middle phone has been called in.  the man called
today.


		PUBLICATIONS REPORT

	WER will not be maintaining the nets and the nums any more.  other
people should learn how to do this.  (WER is going to graduate)

	we need more policy statement.


		
		IAP REPORT

	iap is coming.  talk to bill if you's interested in doing anything
about it.  we still seem to have 10-250 for the lisp course.
	we are not teaching a systems dynamics course.
	GTE has about 5 people who want to take the radical intro to lisp.
there only affiliation is ILP.  we might even get money from ILP.  WER will be
handling the textp  rocessing seminar.  she may miss the first meeting of the
class--wants a potential sub.

	bsg has tendonitis & can't type or play piano for a month.

	TZS is in sigma pi sigma and will be published as a co author on a
paper.

	A bacchoe tried to connect itself to the chaosnet but it didn't
properly terminate the connection.
