Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of June 20th, 1983


In attendance were RK, WMY, ACW, RDM, Barmar, Jay, Amy, CLM, and JR.
Late were no one.

The meeting was called to order at 19:34 by JR.
	
The minutes of the previous meeting were not read.
		
User Interrupt:

Chue, Randy has had $180 for programming.  Wants $100 to write
a paper for a professional journal in June.  Given.

Kazerooni, Homayoon wants $50 to learn about HoneyX.  There was
some worry that it might be for a thesis.  Given.

To Meeting Applications:

Hughes, Gregory wants $70 for word processing for 21.009.  Has
had $190.  Given.

Kern, Gregory wants $80 for writing a paper for an incomplete in
17.469.  Has add $220.  Given.

Saphir, William (known loser) wants $30 to continue hacking Multics.  Has
had $200.  Given.

All "EC Votes" were blessed.

Treasurer's Report:

We have spent 132445.82 Multics year-to-date.
We have spent 5823.45 Multics month-to-date.
SIPB/SIPBADMIN is 22511.86 year-to-date.
SIPB/SIPBADMIN is 1001.90 month-to-date.

Chairman's Report:

The chairman is not coming back this summer.  His freshman will
be coming back in a week or two.

No one seems to know what happened between CAH and Physical Plant
about the Student Center Terminal Room.

Office Report:

We have a TRS 80 Model II in the office with 64K and 1 disk
drive.

The office has a new toy which Barry brought back with him.

The office has a new rubber stamp.

People should remember to pick up the dailys.

Amy is working on updating the job service.

Computer Services:

RK updated the center's info file on the Spinwriter and submitted
an installation form.

Telecommunications Report:

Someone should figure out what is going on with the Student
Center MUX.

Terminal Report:

We still have an LA36 in the office.

Publications Report:

None.

Annual-Report Report:

R/O Report:

Amy and Carla are still thinking about the Freshman letter.

IAP Report:

None.

Other:

None.

Barry went to London and the Space Shuttle Launch.

Jay found out that everything between Colorado and Pennsylvania
is very boring.

WMY and SEL and moving to Washington, DC sometime this summer.
They spent the weekend in DC buying a house.  WMY is going to
work for Symbolics.
