Minutes of 12 Sept 1983 were read and accepted as corrected. Treasurer's report. MTD 2658.54, YTD 17,743.67 SIPB/ADMIN mtd 937.22, ytd 4690.80 CBF brings up the fact that we are running on credit. Somebody should talk to Wes. [psr enters here] RK says van rental cost $147. total cost of tour was aprox. $220. (ugh!) Chairman's report. Carla Fermann has resigned from the EC. EC slot open for new person. The secretary will send mail saying who's eligible and that there will be an election. Doug Wilson just got back from vacation so we still don't know where the pdp-11 is. RDZ will talk to him and find it. CBF: we have no JCF funds. RDZ will talk to Jim Bruce about getting some. Transitions: Carla becomes inactive as does alan. Cliff and Elisa become active. All are still full members. Office Report. The 'to be filed' folder should be permanently expunged. when you process an application, file it where it belongs. the database will do the totals at the end of the week. Computer Services report. We need a tool to total the money in the data base. JIS will do this sometime soon. We should make pascal work. Telecommunications Report. Student Center Library: there will be a cabling party on thursday night. The chairman promises to send mail. Everyone try to be there to help (at 8 pm) so that we can stop losing. We should change the office key and make the stu cen terminal room match the new cylinder. We will buy a new DC Hayes smartmodem from the checking account (about 500 dollars). DRM: bounced the Burton Z19 and made it work. This is the second time that this terminal has been fixed this way. Last time I (psr) and JIS fixed it. First, I was carrying it up the steps in bldg 11 and tripped, falling onto it, then JIS hit it (on purpose) while it was sitting on the coffee table. It worked! Long live hi tech. Publications Report. We are out of NETS and NUMS again. We have 100 of each at beane. No annual report, RO or IAP reports. they are all getting closer, though. 11/44 report. see above.
