We look over his directory. He has spent 100 $ to type his schedule and one paper. God. given (plus warning to slow down spending). Treasurer's report. We need a real treasurer. CLM in W. Va. RDZ will give him a stern talking to when he gets back. Chairman's report. Went to CCE. talked to Jim Bruce. 6.170 and 6.035 will both be on the EECS 20 this spring. Joel Moses expects 50 in 6.170 and 100 in 6.035. We don't believe either of these estimates. Elections: they are not here (it is a holiday). There is some feeling that the secretary did not send out notification. I, of course, do not believe this. We will have a Vice election to night. CBF won't be it (too bad). WCS is nominated. DFM is nominated. RDZ lets it slip that he might resign (oops, the vice chair might resign). DFM will be greased into the position of VIce chairman in return for helping the freshman (WCS) do the dirty treasurly duties. [At this point we have great fun playing with the phones. Ask someone about Call Forwarding--BCN.] We are creating an office for WCS called treasurer in training (TIT). Thats right, when he makes mistakes you can call him an ignorant boob. We elect DFM to the position of Vice. Long live the combat zone. We nominate Dawn Clarke for membership. I am told to send mail about her election and that of the other prospectives. I hold the chairman hostage. I make him fill out the membership cards before I will send the mail announcing the election. (I got the first one; so there.) Dinarte has fun looking through the 'secure' passwords in the cashbox while he is waiting for Ramin to fill out the membership cards. BCN moves to print a superticket on the back of the membership cards. I vote yes. Office report. Hmm. WCS was the office manager. We pause to think (things are suboptimal and the loft takes up a lot of room. flame on) Computer services report Telecom Report 3 ttr's fix them. Stu cen: uwaves. we are not yet ready to have a uwave party (no dip or potato chips. becides, its getting to cold to frolic amongst the uwaves. Publications report. We are out of nets and nums again. (they will be ready wednesday. pick them up loser). Pdp-11 report. We will ahve a place nearby to put a pdp-11/44 but we should check to see that we don't lose our processor cards. Other learn the names of the nominees. the nominees should come in and take applications. We will order a Calling Card (tm) from the phone company. The chair will not carry it around.
