Minutes of the meeting of 1/3/77.

Meeting was called to order at 19:36.

In attendance:  DCH, CRD, CBF, LSP, GMP, DAS, and archy.

Minutes of the previous meeting were typed out and slipped by everyone
present's conciousness and were interned in the annals of
time.

Treasurer's report:  Treasurer is en route from Chicago-Detroit.  Bills came in today.

Chairman's report:  Chairman went to Florida over vacation and did not
go swimming once!  Or twice.  Or at all!  (PPL stands for Polymorphic
Programming Language)

Office report:  Office got clean, is getting dirty again...

Weather report:  Boston area had 14 or so inches of snow over the vacation.

IAP report:  There are some minor screw-ups but things will probably run OK.

370/168 & TSO:  Not much...  Do the clean-up!!

WATFIV & PLUTO:  WATFIV is broken due to Art Anger deleting some library.
New version of WATFIV?  LSP will work on it.

Multics:  We can make our EC's more clever.  The powers that be broke FORTRAN without
telling anyone.

ECS:  Still running, spending has increased.

CS_:  This is it folks!  Now is the time for all good SIPB members to
come to the aid of their subsystem.

Telecommunications:  Bad news.  Channa Garber has the idea that the budget is just for
servicing.  $3000 - $3500 for service, a little more for toll
calls, but nothing for the normal capital!!  LSP and CBF will go
up and talk to Burner tomorrow.  We also have an option to pick
a on-site service contract for about $1.50 per terminal more.
(DAS have been burning out at a furious rate) (RMF just walked
in!) Another terminal?!

Other:  CRD will talk to DWells about getting our maps fiche'd.  Gathering
tomorrow to meet Lynn Bonnie (?)...  Somebody will go...

Applications:  $70 IAP meal-tickets.

	Hemond:  Money for PhD pre-research.  Given.
