Minutes of the Meeting of 2/14/77.

The meeting was called to order at 19:32, DCH presiding.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected (JLF was in attendence), then approved.

At this time the chairman stole a chair.

Treasurer's report:
     Spend more $!!

User interupt:
     Melvin Yu- Batch $200 for Fortran timing project.  Approved.

Chairman's Report:
     SIPB Policy Statement???  He forgets.

Office report:
     Some things on the list of office supplies were obtained.
     We still need Decwriter fuses...
     KTOC
     Office computer arrived.  (See PDP-8 report.)

370 Batch and TSO:
     370 was sick due to disc controllers (familiar?)

WATFIV and PLUTO:
     nil

Multics:
     GMP is now an AML auditor.

ECS:
     Manuals arrived.  Coke was spilled on some of them.  Please be more careful next time!
     ECS reports were bound in a blue binder by KHG.
     18.03 is giving problem sets requiring Programable Calculators.
     Math Dept.  does not have nearly enough of them.
     Suggest that they use ECS?  Perhaps an 18.03 project?
     The chairman will look into it.
     Control segs parameters broken?

CS:
     JMB has worked but we have not received any mail from him.
     RMF is still on the project but hasn't done any damage for awhile.

Telecommunications:
     Ribbons have not arrived yet.
     DEC is coming tomorrow to fix all our terminals.
     On sight maintenance contract set upjust some trite paperwork left.
     Meshna has an interesting terminal for $180.  SAS took a bunch of people
     to see it.  It is a vector display tube but requires a lot
     of work to get going.

PDP-8 report:
     Not up yet, MOON is working at Arch Mach.
     He feels the problem is not serious.  Complete plans for the 8 have been 
     obtained.
     What to do with it?

Publicity report:
     LSC slide (is it free?):
     (archy walked in at this point.)
     "SIPB Sucks" was yelled.
     Type was too small, pink was a losing color.
     Lobby 7 poster?  wait a while.
     Fortune cookie Sayings...  DO SOMETHING!
     2500 cards for $37 from C.  W.  Beane?

Other: New chalk obtained for the office, orange and far out yellow.
RMF offered $300 real money to bring up MULTICS when he was
going through withdrawl.

After meeting FLASH!!  Office dataphone is down!  Ye Gods!  Is there no hope?
But wait!  KHG and his magic fingers cast their spell on the phone wires
and rejuvenated the phone.  Whew!  That was a close one!
