.ti -5
User interrupt: Hosain: Ran on no-funds for $93.00 worth doing his frat phone
billing program (it was unclear at first why user accounts gave him
permission to run no-funds at all). (RMP and LAL walked in (not necessarily in that order)).
After some discussion of such subjects as "Where did all the money go?" he requested $40 more for
this month's billing. Given $200 to cover the overrun and the billing
for the rest of the year.

Chineese Students Club: Requested $150 for continuation of their accounting
program. Given.

.ti -5
Treasurer's report: We have reached the half-way point! Only a few more months
to go... We are accelerating promisingly...

.ti -5
Chairman's report: Annual (Bi-annual?) report... Think about it. Chairman
attended an LCS "Town meeting". MAC may get a TENEX. Many large computer
companies are offering to give very large, very cheap machines.

.ti -5
Office report: The refrigerator has died. KHG says that it can be
fixed with epoxy and more freon. MJH may be donating his, provided that
he can get what space he wants. New micro-fiched student phone dir.

.ti -5
370/168 & TSO: (At this point the chairman made an attempt to neuter
himself... The meeting eventually recovered)

.ti -5
WATFIV & PLUTO: GMR is stalling...

.ti -5
Multics report: Puerto Rico is buying Multicies. Automatic page-flusher
is coming. RADC-Multics has a reasonable amount of memory and gets good
memory figures.

.ti -5
ECS report: Anonymous file-saving is being used quite
extensively. Garbage collection should start soon.

.ti -5
CS_: ()!

.ti -5
Telecommunications: We seem to be being charged for some obscure thing
in connection with the Baker phone. We will look into it. It is possible
to re-imburse any Institute account with real money so that members can
repay any phone calls that they must make. DTD has still not picked
up their terminal. Phone amplifier is connected and working.

.ti -5
APL: Coming. GMR is putting in a control segment for the various parameters.
Time tradeoff?

.ti -5
Publicity report: Handout? Card? ECS manuals are running low...

.ti -5
Other: OTA nominated Richard Kovalcik for membership. Election will be
in two weeks (4/25/77).

.ti -5
Other Other: GMR suggested a picnic-bike trip to the Blue Hills. Good idea!

.ti -5
Yet even more Other: Wash off the tops of the coke cans, as some of them
were sprayed with machine oil.

.ti -5
Applications: $695 (or so) autoed, ~$425 given by board decision. $1120 (or
$1390) total.

Sherman: $150 for studies of data from X-ray diffraction studies.
.br
Goldstein: $75 to learn (ugh!) COBOL.
.br
Dosani: $50 for graphics work on Multics.
.br
Wallace: $50 to continue to learn PL/1.

.ti -5
And still yet even more Other: CDavis talked to and explained his behaviour
to some members. He said that he will reveal the contents of his encoded
segment "under duress", but would prefer not to. A motion was made to restore

the remainder of his funding. It was passed four times before DCH
realized it.

Meeting was adjourned at 20:27.
