Total And Utter Lossage Report: Course 11.944 (UrbPlan project on Multics) which is taught by Professor David Wheeler has been giving us some hassles. A student claimed that he was told to come to us and lie to get computer time. He was very desperate becuase he hadn't finished his work and the project was out of money. Apparently four people from the course had come to us previously probably for legitimate reasons. The professor says the student is lying and that all the computer work for the course is done. Perhaps the student is just wedged. (DCP and Penny came in during this.) 370 Report: null(). ECS Report: null(). CS Report: null(). SIPBTEXT Report: It is getting used. Perhaps most of the usage is by SIPB members. The Diablo queue may be being used too much and for things which could equally well be done by Xerox. There was a motion to leave the status quo the way it was. The motion died for a lack of a second. There was a motion to raise the cost of Diablo output to 15 cents per page. This motion also died for a lack of a second. Hence, the status quo was left the way it was. LSP asked BSG for a secure emacs to add to the SIPBTEXT lss. Sol is working on the NETs. PAE will work on them over IAP. Telecommunications Report: The office hunt group was fixed. The Student Center data phone for the Vadic is in. The Baker House dataset was to be moved today. We have a service contract on our LA36's with DEC. It cost $16.50 per month. The left Student Center terminal may still be broken. We should check to be sure that terminals are really broken before we call them in. We have three letters from living groups requesting terminals for next year so far. We should try to speed up work on the Student Center Terminal Room. The Diablo was called in today. They tried fixing it. We should be sure the Vadic modem doesn't walk off from the Student Center Terminal Room when we get it. We should work on picking out a graphics terminal. We will have a seperate meeting about this. IAP Report: IAP is coming. We will print Lisp Notes by the end of the week. 200 copies will be printed. Jean Bonney will give us $150 for this. Programming Contest: There was a request for money for a set of Knuth from the Coop. There was a motion to donate the amount of money equal to the cost of 3 Knuths for the programming contest. Mata wanted $50 more on Multics to finish up a 16.27 term project. Given.). CSC (Chinese Students Club) had a warning form becuase someone dprinted 100 identical copies of a meeting announcement. Wang is believed to be responsible for this and will be flushed. People adding questionable applications should ask the person autoing the application. Other Other: OAF needs a list of MIT-TIP users. He will probably phoney it up. On about December 26th, BSG will give a subway tour in New York. The third Lisp Machine is working somewhat. The meeting was adjourned to 21:55 into birthday cake for RK and DCP. Minutes taken and submitted late by RK due to the end of term crunch and produced with TJ6 on MC due to MagicSix hardware lossage. .page
