People are encouraged to show up this Wednesday to help stuff the Freshman packets. Other: A bulletin is being prepared by the center advertizing the printing service provided by the LA120 in the Student Center. Its okay, except that it advertises it as a "quality output" device. Penny,ACW, ALAN, HIC, and SAS walked in at this point. PAE left a note on the agenda concerning whether to start up use of our Spinwriter for our users and optionally outside users. A discussion followed concerning the "legality" of such a move, and the inconvience outside use would impose on the SIPB. An absentee queue was considered and its faults and features were discussed. Discussion closed on awaiting information on whether the Center might wish to purchase our Spinwriter on a similar service as our LA120. CRD and ACW walked the tour route, and it took about a half an hour. We have nine sites so far. People thought about perhaps moving the time to try and not conflict with the LSC movie. The time was decided to be left as is. There was a motion to allocate money to buy refreshments for after the tour. DGH (who was in charge of this last year) mentioned that she spent $25 last year, and it wasn't enough. Two large punch bowls will be attempted to be obtained from Bexley. Annual Report: ??? People are ENCOURAGED to DO something! There is no SIPBTEXT report, Telecommuntications Report, R/O Report, etc., at ALL yet. PLEASE help. Other Other: RDM (with help from ALAN) brought in two boxes of notebooks. They are small three ring binders, but they are free. They were awaiting decimation by the janitors when they were "rescued" and brought to the SIPB office. The MIT admistration is threating TCA with nasty threats because Harvey Grogo again appears in the Freshman Picture Book. Motion passed to obtain an "unaltered" Picture Book for the office, if the administration are such a bunch of foolish idiots as to require the picture blotted out. CWH walked in at this point. Motion was made to purchase a large three hole punch to replace the one 54 accidently took home. Passed. GLS and BKERNS were married this weekend. Meeting adjourned at 20:40. Minutes taken and submitted by rdm.
