I think that we should have more hackathons, and it should be less annoying to
schedule them.  We should authorize some amount of money to be spent on
hackathons announced at least two days in advance.  To pick a random number,
$75, to be spent at the discretion of the vice chair.

amended 2007-06-18:

The purpose of the hackathon is for members and prospectives to work
on SIPB projects.

amended 2008-03-31:

[Allocation changed from $75 to $150 per hackathon]

amended 2016-04-15:

Allocation is changed from $150 to $200 per hackathon.

The amendment to this policy passed on 2007-06-18 restricting the purpose of
hackathons is hereby repealed.
