Title: Allocations Date Passed: 2018-11-12 Text: Each week, up to $200 total of allocations may be approved over email. The approval process begins when someone sends out their proposed allocation to sipb-office@mit.edu. At this point, the comment period opens and any SIPB member may second the allocation or voice an objection. After 24 hours, if the allocation has been seconded and there have been no objections, the treasurer may approve the allocation. The allocation must be announced within another 24 hours of the closing of the comment period and announced at the next meeting. Allocations which put us over $200 of weekly spending over email must be proposed at meetings and approved by a vote of the board. Preexisting standing allocations and discretionary funds are nullified by approval of this policy.
