Office Hours

Dear Class:

Prof. Sarma will hold office hours tomorrow morning between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM in his office (35-206)

I will hold office hours tomorrow afternoon at 4PM outside my office (35-010). If you cannot make it during those times, send us email and we will arrange something.

We are working on the errata for the solutions and will soon post it.

Review Problems

Dear Class:

5 review problems have been posted in the reading section of the stellar. All the other handouts are also posted. The solutions to the review problems will be posted tomorrow.

It's your last chance to complete the online subject evaluation if you have not done it yet.

Important Announcements

Dear Class:

1. The final exam is on Wednesday, Dec. 20th. Note that the exam is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON in 35-225. Note the different time and venue. You are allowed to bring in three sheets of notes (letter-size, both sides).

2. Please complete the subject evaluation if you have done it yet. The URL for subject evaluations is:

The online evaluation will close at 5 pm on Friday 15 December. Thanks to those who already did it.

3. Problem set 12 solutions have been posted. Problem 2 was ill-posed in the problem set. The solution for Problem 2 is consistent with the new problem Prof. Sarma discussed yesterday, except that the lower string should not be there in the figures.

4. We will post 5 practice problems tomorrow. The solutions to the same will be posted on Saturday.

5. I will have my office hours tomorrow at 4 pm in 33-418.

6. We will have a review session on Saturday from 1 to 3 pm in our usual classroom. Apart from that if you need any assistance, please send email to the staff and one of us will be happy to assist you depending on the availability.

Subject Evaluations, Pset 12, Final Exam

Dear Class:

1. The URL for subject evaluations is:

The online evaluation will close at 5 pm on Friday 15 December. You are encouraged to participate in the same.

2. Pset 12 was posted this morning. It is in the word format for the moment due to some problems in pdf conversion. We will upload the pdf file soon. Pset 12 is optional. If you choose to submit it, we will evaluate it although the score will not count in the overall grade.

3. Final exam is on Wednesday, December 20 from 9:00AM to 12:00 NOON in 35-225. You are allowed to bring three sheets of notes (both sides, letter-size paper).
