Portfolios, Angles, Karmel prizes
Hi--
1) Some portfolios are still outside my door. They will be there over IAP and into the first week of Spring Semester. I hope you pick yours up if you haven't done so; it may contain your feedback on your Book talk, as well as an individual letter from me.
2) I mentioned submitting some of your best work to Angles to some of you. All are welcome to do so. Here is a link to several recent years' issues of Angles:

Portfolio assignment clarification
Hi--
1) The reference to pre-writing for your book talks is left over from a previous term; you don't need to hand in anything if you don't have it. If you did fill out the worksheet, then you can include it.
2) Non-essay homework: include whatever you have. If you don't have something, don't worry about it. --KB

Portfolio assignment is posted
Hi -
In case you want to take a look, the Portfolio assignment is posted as Assignment #25-26. The physical portfolio is not meant to be a fancy binder - a simple 2-pocket folder is all that's needed.

Clarification about Book Talks
Hi--Someone asked, and more of you may wonder: are you meant
to use PowerPoint for your talk? The answer is No. I don't want
PowerPoint or slides of any kind. I want you to talk directly to
your audience.
