Participation scores and Final (numeric and letter) grade in LMOD
Dear Students,Scores are now visible in LMOD for both Participation and Final
Course Grade for SCM.250. Some explanation follows below:
1. Class Participation – Faculty rated all student’s participation
as either Low, Average, or High. Almost all students received a
rating of Average which was given an A:B neutral grade of 90. A few
students were rated as High (score of 100 and a small number of
students were rated as Low (score of 80).
2. Final Course Grade – prior to scaling, the overall course scores
ranged from a low of 78.35 to a high of 94.8. Dr. Bruce Arntzen
scaled the scores, so they now stretch from a low of 78.35 to a
high of 97.5 – the top student received an A+. This resulted in
about 46% A’s, 51% B’s, and 3% C’s.
3. The cutoffs for the letter grades were A+97.5, A92.5, A-89.5,
B+87.5, B82.5, B-79.5
Lastly, it was a pleasure being your TA for SCM.250. The best of luck to you all!
Best regards,
