6.268  Network Science and Models

Information: 

Introduces the main mathematical models used to describe large networks and dynamical processes that evolve on networks. Static models of random graphs, preferential attachment, and other graph evolution models. Epidemic propagation, opinion dynamics, and social learning. Applications drawn from social, economic, natural, and infrastructure networks, as well as networked decision systems such as sensor networks.

Reminder: project report due date and format

Dear all,

A reminder that the project reports are due by this Thursday May 14. We need to get your report via email before noon that day. Also for the exact format (limit on number of pages, font, etc.), we had included this information on the pdf document entitled "Project description", posted in the Materials part (General) on the stellar site.

Final presentation slides due tonight at 11:30pm.

Dear class,
This is a friendly remindar that the final presentation slides is due tonight at 11:30pm. Also, please do the following:
1. Send the slides to dawsen@mit.edu by 11:30pm tonight. In the subject of the email, please include the following key words: "6.268 Final Project Presentation Slides"
2. Please save your slides as a pdf file, and set your filename as the day+ the starting time of your presenation. For example, Fahad's filename should be Tuesday0935.pdf. (We have found some strange math formulations in pptx files, so please save as pdf. If you have submitted the slides then don't worry about the filename.)
3. A individual presentation is 5 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A/transition time and a group presentation is 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A/transition time.
