Final week of class

The poll results are in, and the winner by a large margin is: two review classes (the runner up was Bernie Sanders, as a write-in).

If there are any topics you'd particularly like to see reviewed, please email me and I'll take that into account.

Last week of class, final

Hi All,

As announced in class on Thursday, we can either spend the final week of class reviewing the course material, or covering some more advanced, optional material that will not be on the final. I've created a doodle poll: http://doodle.com/poll/x6sk2bx9nw29ge6h to get your input. Though the poll asks for your name, you can answer the poll anonymously if you choose. But please only vote once.

As a reminder, the final will be held on Wednesday, May 18 from 1:30PM - 4:30PM in Walker gym.

Best,

Josh

Dear students,

I have to reschedule office hours tomorrow to 11-12. Next ones will
be on regular schedule. Sorry for any inconvenience,

HW10 Typo

There was a typo on HW10 #3b. The condition \int_0^a f(x)dx=\int_0^a g(x)dx was supposed to be \int_0^a f(x)d\alpha=\int_0^a g(x)d\alpha. The problem set has been updated. However, if you've already done the old problem then you can hand that in instead for full credit (assuming your solution is correct).

Also, for problem 1, feel free to use Theorem 7.35 from Apostol. I've added that theorem to the problem set as well, in case you don't have a copy of Apostol.

Best,

Josh

Problem Set 9, problem 1

Message from Josh: there is a mistake in problem #1, so just ignore that problem. I will update the problem set to remove that problem on Tuesday evening, once I get access to a computer.
