Statistics for the final exam

Dear students,

For the final exam, the average grade was 73 and the standard deviation was 15.

Congratulations to all of you for your investment during the semester and the progress that all of you have made ! I was very much satisfied with all the work you did and I believe that the main goals were achieved. This class aimed to set the theoretical bases for the applications of statistics that you will encounter in further courses or in your internships and jobs, in order to make sure that you have a deep understanding of the statistical methods that you will use a lot. Hence, this was not an easy class and I am proud of your work. I can also tell that you gained in precision in your mathematical statements and in the questions that you ask, as well as in your answers. I am firmly convinced this will help you in other classes, and in your future jobs. So, again, congratulations to all of you !

Have a very nice summer, and it was a great pleasure to work with you during this semester.

Practice exam available + Infos on the exam + Office hours

Dear students,

You can find a practice exam on Stellar, in the rubrik "Optional exercises".

Regarding the exam, next week:

1. Two two-sided HANDWRITTEN cheat-sheets will be allowed. It has to be handwritten, no typed or photocopied document or electronic device will be allowed.

2. The program for this exam is all the ten chapters we have studied.

Last but not least, I will hold 3 office hours tomorrow, from 4 pm until 7 pm.
