Everyone -- again, fantastic job on your presentations.  You should be really proud of your final papers and presentations as a capstone on your work this semester.  Great job, and good luck finishing up your final drafts for Monday.

I know that everyone is very busy at this time of the semester with final papers and exams, but I am writing to ask that you please take a few minutes to fill out the end-of-term subject evaluation for this class.  This is our opportunity to get your feedback on how we can improve the class in future years (e.g. one Stata session would have been sufficient vs. you would have preferred three Stata sessions rather than two).  We're going to be working hard to continue to try to improve the course for future cohorts of your peers, and your feedback and suggestions are the most helpful input we have to try to do that.

Columbia University’s /Journal of Politics & Society/ , published by the
Helvidius Group, invites you to submit your class papers and theses for
consideration for our Spring 2013 edition. The Editorial Board is
seeking submissions from * _undergraduates_ * (class of 2013 or later) in
colleges and universities throughout the United States as well as the
United Kingdom and Australia.

*_The submission deadline for the Spring 2013 Journal is January 1^st

In 2007, the /Journal /became the first commercially distributed
undergraduate periodical in the nation. The 2013 Spring edition will be
distributed among academics worldwide and sold in Barnes & Noble
bookstores around the United States.

In addition, the /Journal of Politics & Society/ will award *_the Peter
and Katherine Tomassi Prize of $250_* to the author of the best article,
as judged by the Editorial Board in conjunction with faculty at Columbia
University.

The /Journal of Politics & Society/ is seeking original, creative, and
rigorous articles including, but not limited to:

- Research on current economic, political, and sociological phenomena,
in any social science discipline as well as certain fields in the
humanities such as history.

- Normative scholarship analyzing important theories on political
philosophies.

Students from *ALL SOCIAL SCIENCE DISCIPLINES *are encouraged to submit
their work.

There is no absolute length requirement, but published articles are
often originally 20 to 50 pages in length (double-spaced).  Papers
selected for publication undergo an intensive peer review and editing
process, and work previously written for classroom or individual use is
welcomed.
