Problem Set 12 Solutions

Solutions to PS 12 have been posted. The section from B&T containing the solutions for problem 2 (the 3 Markov Chain questions) have been posted in the "Homework" section of the stellar page as well.

PS 9 problem 1 grading

The first problem of PS 9 asked you to complete exercise 1 from lecture 17. Several students were penalized for completing the "wrong exercise." If this didn't happen to you, you can stop reading.

Here is why you completed the "wrong exercise." There were two versions of lecture 17 released. In the second version another exercise was added, and as a result, the numbering changed. Thus if you had printed out the lecture when the first version was released, you completed the incorrect exercise. I only discovered that there had been two different versions after the homeworks were returned.

Since there was no announcement that the numbering had changed, I will give back any points deducted for completing the wrong exercise. Please contact me if this affected you.
